At this point in the season my eyes are starved for color. Forsythia is really popping now, and magnolia trees are starting to open around town. (crossing my fingers we don’t get a late, killing frost)

It’s my favourite time of the year! 🌸☀️
I’ve been loving seeing blossoming trees on my walks/runs in the last couple of weeks!

#Magnolias are some of my favourite spring flowers because seeing them always takes me back to the Magnolia Garden of the O.V. Fomin Botanical Garden in Kyiv, where I really enjoyed going for walks with my grandparents *and* the magnoliid clade is evolutionary ancient, so, it’s cool to think about dinosaurs walking among the ancestors of these trees!
