Nails and rings this week. As much as I like having painted nails (on the right hand only for some reason) it has felt like too much faff for a while. So it feels good to have the motivation to paint them again today.

A well-worn hand displaying rings on every single finger - a mix of silver and darker metals creating quite the collection. The fingernails are painted in different colours: coral, yellow, mint green, and sparkly black, because life's too short for matching manicures. The wrist is adorned with a proper festival veteran's arsenal of fabric wristbands and bracelets, all set against speckled concrete that's probably seen fewer adventures than this hand has.

Like a lot of folks, I’ve been feeling pretty disconnected from patriotism this year, especially with all the Everything™️ going on. But marching in the Pride Parade the weekend before reminded me that there’s still plenty of love, support, and joy out there. That helped.
