Yes, I still listen to The Smiths even if Morrissey is problematic. This is a fantastic debut – not necessarily my favorite single Smiths record, but so much of what makes them great is already here.

My copy—via a record fair at Mill No. 5 in Lowell MA—is a 1984 US pressing on Sire / RoughTrade, pressed at Specialty Records.

Spent the weekend in #ManchesterUK and did a bit of sightseeing. Overall I was impressed with how vibrant the downtown area was, and I found it quite similar to #Chicago with the architecture, river front and restaurant/bar scene. #travel #uk

Went to see a showing of #hailtothethief #hamlet in #ManchesterUK yesterday. The show did not disappoint! Acting was top notch, ambience was on point, and the music was predictably great. Some of the Shakespearean prose was a bit hard to follow, so I'm planning to read the original Hamlet to catch up on what I missed! #radiohead
