I just had a post reported by "mastodon.online"

Which is odd because that is a domain, not a user, and there is nothing wrong with the post at all.

What is going on? Is this some new kind of spam?

@aubreyjones, I'm obviously going to dismiss this but can anyone tell me why there isn't a user who made this report? Why is it just the domain? It feels very OFF.

Kennt jemand ein Tool o. ä mit dem man auf Mastodon Threads zeitlich planen kann? Also nicht nur einzelne Tröts sondern eben einen Tröt mit mehreren nicht gelisteten Antworten?

For some reason my two most recent posts from my @ccunning@pixelfed.social account do not show up on mastodon.

I don’t believe it’s due to filtering or an issue at the instance level. I have the same experience when I’m logged out or when I view the pixelfed account from another instance (e.g. mastodon.social) which leads me to believe it’s possible an issue with the posts themselves on pixelfed.social

Wasn’t sure who to tag/at. If I should ask elsewhere let me know.

There appears to be a bug in the user icons displayed in the web version of mastodon v4.3.1 on the notifications page. The same user icon can show up multiple times.

This has happened on many of my posts for the past few days.

Sharing posts with WhatsApp and Signal groups seems to send purple Mastodon logo as biggest visual element, rather than content of message and/or images or links therein: any tips?

@Mastodon When I was signing up, I clicked a wrong privacy button. I want everyone to see my post. Every time I post I have to be sure to go in and click - for all to see. How do I fix this? I've asked before and been ignored.

If you are connected to firewalled wifi and attempt to post in the Mastodon app you *do not* get an error. Your post is eaten. Deleted forever.

I wrote this amazing post and it’s gone. This has happened before. Other apps say “cannot post” when firewalled. Seems like bug.

(please don’t tell me to use a different app I have four apps each with their own issues- the purpose of this post is to check if it’s fair to call it a bug)

Error: Mastodon access token is invalid

This error handling is quite bad. It's obvious that I, the user, am expected to take some sort of action to update/renew the my access token, but I am not in any way being given the information/tools of how to actually do it. It's basically a "No crossing"-sign.

Mastodon's - what do I need to do to be able to post images without being stopped by this error?

Is this right? Getting into #Mastodon I stumbled upon a post (toot?) recommending a ton of accounts, looking at it from my home server. Very helpful!

However, whenever I click on a profile I'm taken to that profile's home server, so in order to subscribe I have to copy the URL, go to my own home server, paste the URL in the search bar and then click add on the search result.

Is this how this flow should be? Am I missing a special incantation or dance that makes this less painful?
