Another you learn something new every day. I’ve had 4 tendon tears in 6 years, all with no discernible reason why (all occurred while in my 40s). The latest one, I was like WTF and started doing some digging. Found an article on what meds can cause tendon weakness and right at the top of the list is statins. Found a bunch of articles regarding this afterwards. Doctor said she’d never heard of this. Is this a rarely known thing, or do I have a bad doctor?

After being sick for most of the year, in and out of the hospital, managing a liver injury from my biologic meds for RA… I’m finally stable enough to take my ADHD meds again.

Thank goodness.

It turns down the volume. Helps me stay more present and focused. Helps me initiate tasks *and* complete them. It helps with my memory. It helps with recall. It helps me live.

Surely #India is in the same boat. It is the world’s biggest producer of “generic” #meds. If not already, the #tRumpAdministration will also target it for undermining US profits. India might retaliate by going rogue and disregard US patent, flood the market with cheaper meds… just thinking out loud here…

I need to take #meds daily and they just killed the only low-dose option because it wasn’t profitable enough.

Now I’m quartering pills and still take a roughly 120% higher dose than needed.

You don’t even need to be #anticapitalist to see how #capitalism is harming people in so many ways, the #health sector is just one of them.

If I need a med, I go to www.veganmed.org to find products that are verified 'no animal ingredients'. They may not be #vegan (they may have been tested on #animals). Sometimes meds are necessary; we do our best.
