Stuff needs probably more recent firmware but beside old batteries everything should still work.

In the second half of the 2000's, wireless #mesh networks of mobile radios were called #MANETs (mobile ad-hoc networks) and have been suggested for different scenarios, including disaster area and first responder communications.

#Research questions for #ComputerScience and #engineering include performance, efficiency, and robustness of routing algorithms as well as different security aspects.

To my knowledge, these networks are still not seriously used as of today.

Companion Radios: Heltec T114, RAK 4630, Seeed Studio Xiao S3 WIO, Seeed Studio SenseCAP T1000-E,
und den Heltec V3 SN-S1 Sensor-Node (mit dem BME280)

ESP-NOW: USB-Companion, Repeater und Room-Server.

Good news, there's an unreal amount of interest in meshcore lately.

My community came together and group purchased 20 nodes and have rapidly been onboaring tons of new LoRa curious hackers.

It looks like I might have single handedly increased the user base of the Seattle meshcore user base by 10 - 20%.

Interestingly, several threads on Github expose the fact that there's already like-named clones / ripoffs showing up on the App Store, apparently

Interesting too is that, when the very short range of a Bluetooth mesh is pointed out, Dorsey brings up Nostr for routing / bridging

Nowhere does he talk about who runs / controls these "Network bridges: Optional internet gateways (Nostr integration)"

Heute mit meinem mobilen #mesh-Node eine Reise durch den Landkreis #celle unternommen. Zwischendurch immer wieder versucht, auf dem Kanal "LongFast" Nachrichten zu versenden, die von anderen Empfängern bestätigt werden.
Im Stadtgebiet von Celle gab es tatsächlich einige bestätigte Empfänge, aber keine Antworten.
Wenn das Mesh doch nur etwas dichter werden könnte.

Deshalb hier mein Aufruf, probiert es aus, einen eigenen #meshtastic Knoten einzurichten.
