Finally I had time to attach my #fractalfringes to my #roomdivider , I have to make some more to make a nice #degradée..
This project is so important for me, for the last 1,5 year embroidery has become a duty, with this project it became a joy again! I'm feeling totally free to develop new techniques, enjoying working with selected volunteers, it brings me so much!

Someone of us came up with the idea of using black nailpolish to secure the ends from unraveling, and look, isn't it a great way to finish the ends! this is a way of finishing that opens so many possibilities to use #goldwork threads in other ways without plunging them!

about yesterday... I asked some of the ladies to sew down the beautiful #gimp tressée 36 of @auverasoie_officiel ... to finish the ends I wanted the braid unbraided and those fringes losely sew down, I loved the effect but didn't want to plunge the ends in the fabric. Today we had a very nice meeting for this project, everybody choose wat's interesting them, together we create a lot of elements that will be added to our #roomdivider.
for me, this is really #intangible_cultural_heritage , coming together, sharing time, passion and knowledge...

do you know that exciting feeling when a new tool comes in and you realise all the possibilities of it, how it can help you to create new elements in your work....

this is one of those tools! usualy it's a tool that measures the inner with of rings, used by jewellers... but for me it's a tool to make embroidered rings in diffent sizes as add-ons in embroideries...
