Idle thought: I really like how Samus' modern suit designs kind of have that same appeal as Gundam Aerial where you can tell at a glance that the suit is for a woman but it doesn't remotely cut against the sense of power or protagonist-ness it demands. #MetroidPrime4

We are 6 hours now into Metroid Prime 4. 🎮

It's slowly getting harder from fighting, platforming and riddling perspective, but it's still very guided. You always know where to go next and don't need to be afraid to get stuck. Hope this improves when more areas become accessible. It's a good game, but I miss the Metroidvania aspects in the game so far. ⁉️

I've now have spent a decent amount of time with Metroid Prime 4. My takeaway is that it's a really good game, even though I am not a fan of the open world exploration bit, which only plays a minor part in my exprrience so far.

Yes, it's a bit more guided of an experience as I'd like, but the atmosphere, puzzles and environments are really good. The soundtrack is top notch in my opinion and the game is captivating overall.

The free exploration in the desert led to some fun discoveries I'm not going to spoil here, so even the weakest part of the game to me is not bad per se.

The whole McKenzie stuff has been completely overblown and people need to chill the fuck out.

I've been playing #MetroidPrime4 and inverted the y-axis for normal camera control. Is there a way to get the controls to be consistent when free-aiming while locked on and controlling the psychic beam? It's really annoying to have to readjust my brain every time I do either of those things - which is really often.

A handful of tracks from #MetroidPrime4 have been added to #Nintendo Music. They encompass the first 2-3 hours of the game, minus the tutorial level.

Nintendo locks in-game music in Metroid Prime 4 behind a paywall while simultaneously delivering a sequel that is graphically less impressive than the original 2002 Metroid Prime.
