Aus Platzgründen (da das Opernhaus, in dem die Uraufführung des Stückes stattfinden sollte, gerade renoviert wurde und der Orchestergraben in der Ersatzspielstätte zu klein war) hat der Komponist in diesem Stück keine Violinen vorgesehen. Dadurch hat die Musik einen spezifischen dunklen Klang.
