Just got back from the pet store. Was looking at the dog toys with my mutt when an older woman started chatting with me. All of a sudden I hear a man behind me saying “be aware of your surroundings” as he almost plowed into me from behind. Automatically told him to “f off”. Woman says that people are so rude these days then she starts into a racist rant about all people from India moving into the town. My heart sank but I had to educate her. Turns out her father was an immigrant from Italy. I don’t think I changed her mind but I hope I did stop her from expressing her opinions to strangers just because they look like her.
