Spätestens mit der Erfindung der Buchhaltung, vor mehr als 5000 Jahren, war Kontrolle durch Dokumentation ein wichtiges Ziel funktionierender Gesellschaften. Schwärzen, also unleserlich machen, von Teilen dieser Dokumentationen war nicht denkbar, nicht im Interesse der Gesellschaft. Erst als Mächtige ihr Versagen, ihre Untaten und Verbrechen gegen die Gesellschaft austilgen wollten, wurde Schwärzen, Löschen, Überschreiben von Teilen des dokumentierten zur billigen Methode des Machterhalts. Bis heute! Sehr präsent! Sehr gesellschaftsschädlich! Aktive Täuschung! Ich klage an.

At the latest with the invention of accounting more than 5,000 years ago, control through documentation became an important goal of well-functioning societies. Blacking out, i.e., rendering parts of this documentation illegible, was unthinkable and not in the public interest. It was only when those in power wanted to erase their failures, misdeeds, and crimes against society that blacking out, deleting, and overwriting parts of the documentation became an acceptable method of staying in power. To this day! Very present! Very harmful to society! Active deception! I accuse.

Finished my 2nd page in the #SpookyLife coloring book by #JadeSummer, and my 1st of this year! This one is called, "Witchy Work Commute." Some mistakes were made, but I learned as well. 😊

My favorite parts are:

The end of the broom (metal rings, straw, magic sparkles trailing behind)
The witch's hair (I'd actually messed up the shading a bit, but managed to cover it up with the highlights! 🎉)
Pulling off making the subway car look crowded with simple silhouettes, using several layers of just 1 blue marker! 💪

Januar 2026 „Hold me, I‘m cold“ Halte mich, mir ist kalt. Sehr kalt und es wird immer kälter. Kann Kunst diese Kälte stoppen? Nein! Aber ich kann sagen, dass es mir kalt ist und andere Menschen können das auch sagen. Wir kommen zusammen, schenken uns Wärme der Gruppe, genießen das Wachstum der Gruppe, genießen die wachsende Wärmeenergie. Bis wir die ganze Welt erwärmen. Traum und Utopie. Aber mehr als einen Versuch wert.

Ein Kunstobjekt an dem lange gearbeitet wird, das vielleicht nie fertig wird, sich verändert und über Kälte spricht. Hold me, I‘m cold.

January 2026 "Hold me, I'm cold." It's very cold, and it's getting colder. Can art stop this cold? No! But I can say that I'm cold, and other people can say so too. We come together, give each other the warmth of the group, enjoy the growth of the group, enjoy the growing warmth energy. Until we warm the whole world. Dream and utopia. But definitely worth more than one try.

An art object that has been worked on for a long time, that may never be finished, that is changing and talks about coldness. Hold me, I'm cold.

Weihnachten, Jahreswechsel, Rauhnächte, Geisternächte, Rückzug, Besinnlichkeit, das Licht kommt zurück, Geister ziehen sich zurück, Freude auf Fruchtbarkeit, Wärme und Sonne drängen sich in den Vordergrund.

Mich fasziniert, dass Menschen seit Jahrtausenden tief in sich den wiederkehrenden Mythenkreislauf bewahren und in ihr Leben integrieren. Besonders in Regionen mit ausgeprägten Wäldern und jahreszeitlich starkem Wechsel von Tageslicht, spielen Waldgeister eine wichtige Rolle. Heute kennen wir sie als Trolle, Weihnachtswichtel, Baumgeister und in vielen anderen, regional Formen. In der Archäologie wird diskutiert, ob Bilder aus vorschriftlicher Zeit Darstellungen dieser Geister sind. Kollektives Wissen über Jahrtausende.

Christmas, New Year's Eve, twelve nights, ghost nights, retreat, contemplation, the light returns, ghosts retreat, joy in fertility, warmth, and sunshine come to the fore.

I am fascinated by the fact that for thousands of years, people have preserved the recurring cycle of myths deep within themselves and integrated it into their lives. Forest ghosts play an important role, especially in regions with dense forests and strong seasonal changes in daylight. Today, we know them as trolls, Christmas elves, tree spirits, and in many other regional forms. Archaeologists debate whether images from pre-literate times are representations of these ghosts. Collective knowledge over millennia.
