Four collages from the last week or so. Three of these were a result of honing my X-Acto skills in cutting out some of the magazine and paper scraps.

A paper collage with a few random cut outs from books and such. The biggest focal point is the word "AGAIN" in white on a blue background, and a small cutout from a Peanuts comic with Sally saying "My problems are deep rooted."

The most recent paper collage, where the bottom half of the piece is a page from an old book. There's a globe, a spoon on a napkin, and some religious music and scripture as some of the paper scraps.

A couple of quick collages from tonight. One with scraps mainly from a fashion magazine, and another with no real theme at all (although I really wanted to use that bit from the Drumstick box).

One paper collage with various scraps of colored paper, a few with random text and letters. In the middle is a bit from a cathedral in Russia (I think), and letters upside down that kind of spell VEAR (maybe it was previously WEAR).

Another paper collage with a few recognizable pieces of paper, the most recognizable is a big piece from a Drumsticks box. Other than that, a facade of a building with a man peeking out from a doorway, a big letter "S", and a piece from an advertisement that says "invites you."

Three bookmarks made from a single collage and cut into 4 strips (only 3 shown), and laminated. Another, larger collage as a single piece. Each are made with various scraps of paper, but the most noticeable pieces are from a amararetti cookie wrapper, some sheet music, and a woman cut from a fashion magazine.

Yesterday I started a new project: a textile #scrollBook, something like an #artBook as a #scroll.
The photo shows my work to find a collage composition. When I'm satisfied with that sample, I'll fix the pieces with wild #embroidery. Later I'll "write" with #stitches. More info: alt text!
