While the Modern Slavery Act was (is) well intended, the effect(s) of a continued 'hostile environment' for migrants, is that victims of modern slavery are often unwilling to report their situation because they are afraid of being deported if they do.
Once again, the state is punishing victims (the vulnerable) while effectively letting their captors ('masters') go free.
One more dysfunctional & cruel policy form our callous political class!

Bad people manipulate and condition you into believing that your opinions don’t matter; that you aren’t worthy.
