Out of curiosity, I'm watching 1952 serial movie "Zombies of the Stratosphere," and despite the wild title, it's as exciting as watching paint dry. It's only slightly more exciting than "Space Master X-7," but minus the realistic police procedural elements. If the premise of the story is evil Martians planning to knock Earth out of its orbit, with the aid of a traitorous Earth scientist, I'd rather see the actors chewing up the scenery than talking as if they're discussing golf. #Monsterdon

3.5 years after I first bought the cables, 3 years after I pretty much gave up trying to make it work, I finally, finally just got the little right angle HDMI adapter in place and the cable to my computer working. I can play movies!
This would be very exciting for #Monsterdon (the TV is quite large and the sound much better than my laptop), however the cable isn't particularly long and I'd have to switch my commentary to the iPad. But maybe for the better sound and larger picture it'd be worth it?
I think this week’s #monsterdon is the first pick I saw in the theater.

So, they made a new version of Silent Night, Deadly Night, the 1984 Santa slasher film (highly controversial at the time), and it has a ... 77% Tomatometer and a 77% audience score? So, it might actually be good? Wut?
Did you also know that there are at least 4 sequels to this crazy thing (the 1984 version), up to at least Silent Night, Deadly Night 5?
I never saw this film, but my friend Tony from high school would always joke about this film using the line "Must Punish!". I know this isn't a #monsterdon film but it may be of interest to related groups..
@sakhavi I never bought this album but I remember it well. I think my girlfriend probably owned the album.
Those singles were played ad nauseam on rock/pop radio. I remember watching those Godzilla-themed music videos on MTV. I remember watching Puff Daddy and Jimmy Page performing during Saturday Night Live.

I have to admit, after hearing how bonkers Megapolis was, I did get really excited to see it. It really delivered. If it had any monsters, it would be a #Monsterdon movie.
“Godzilla The Album” sold a million copies in the US and 2.5 million copies worldwide
It had 4 singles that the record company promoted but it was mostly instrumental film score and B-sides from rock and pop groups (Foo Fighters, Ben Folds Five, Silverchair, Days of the New).
Jamiroquai also did a Godzilla themed music video for “Deeper Underground”
That single did well in the UK but not in the US.
The only songs on Godzilla The Album that still hold up (28 years later) are “No Shelter” by Rage Against The Machine and “Come With Me” by Puff Daddy ft Jimmy Page.
“Come With Me” was a big hit in 1998 and made it to number 4 on the US singles charts. It’s basically just Puff rapping over Led Zeppelin’s song “Kashmir” but it somehow works.
I forgot that The Wallflowers cover of Heroes was also on “Godzilla The Album”
This cover is so much worse than Bowie’s original
According to WhoSampled, Green Day’s Brain Stew (The Godzilla Remix) features samples from King Kong vs Godzilla (1962) and the THX sound
