A telephoto snapshot of the almost full moon rising above a conspicuous skyscraper in New York city, taken on October 5, 2025. The 56 Leonard Street skyscraper, is also known as the Jenga Tower, as it indeed is reminiscent of a pile of stacked blocks of a Jenga game.

The cruelty of the modern smartphone, on which the "unenhanced" clearly is the best one. And even then you cannot be sure anymore if its making shit up (check out that crazy artifacting)

Last night’s moon. I took the time that I had to test out Lunar tracking with my setup, it went really well! The focuser on my Celestron was unfortunately broken, so I made the most of my Canon and a 400mm lens with a doubler, capturing 5,763 frames and 152GB of data.
I was able to take pictures only at the end of totality. The Sun had just set, and the Moon was very low on the horizon, with quite some haze.
This is my first total eclipse since I started this hobby, so I’m nevertheless happy with the result despite the image quality.
