One of my early memories is hearing the #Islamic call for prayer in #Hyderabad #India and how beautiful it was, a morning symphony of beautiful singing and chanting, likely much the same as it has been for centuries.

I've never, once, had an experience like that in #Indonesia because of the insistence of #Mosques here to use loudspeakers & compete with each other on noise.
