Some impressions from our #Tbilisi trip's last highlight: a guided tour to some fascinating places a bit away from Tbilisi: the stone city of #Uplistsikhe, the #Stalin museum in #Gori, and the Cathedral in #Mtskheta. We finished with a wonderful dinner.

There was a lot of stone. And a lot of wind. And, surprisingly, not enough fridge magnets to completely bury the real textures of the place.

It was a cold December day in Mtskheta — the kind where the wind finds every gap in your coat, and the stone beneath your feet feels like it’s been around longer than time itself.

People say that standing next to something monumental can make you feel small. Personally, I just felt slightly frozen and a bit lost, making this portrait with an equally cold metal Zorki-3, a Jupiter-8 lens, and Kodak TMax film.
