Over the years I've used guitar and bass multieffects to process drums. Might sound like a mismatch, but wah, delay and reverb, distortion, overdrive, Eq, compression, chorus and flanger all bring life to a drum machine.
The cheaper the better (we are not looking for genuine cab Sims) for the sound AND the wallet. Used a few of the Boss ME series, like this ME20B, made for bass. Works fine for drums

Just recently a small US #manufacturer #Qu-bit replaced one of their modules I bought in December 2020. #Free of charge, they even reimbursed the international shipping. It is a #multieffect module that I now use a lot in my more rhythmic #tracks and I'm very happy for that update. It was not a faulty module but had some design issues that were imminent in my specific workflow. New version works like charm. Really happy.
