A lovely Agaricus mystery found growing amongst twinflower plants in a coniferous habitat. Too large and stocky to be A. diminutivus but shares many of the same features including a wonderfully sweet odor. The gills are very free from the stem and are more pallid than pink. Perhaps Agaricus kerriganii?

A slightly stocky Agaricus mushroom from Section Minores growing amongst twinflower plants in a coniferous habitat; cap has purplish fibrils in the center and is buff towards the outer edges and margin. A flaring whitish (ivory) skirt is attached to the stem. Similar features to A. diminutivus but is larger than that species.Underside view of Agaricus Sect. Minores mushroom; gills are very free from the stem and are rather pallid in colour (not very pinkish), buff coloured stem is wide and equal, a bit bald above the veil zone and lightly fibrillose in lower part.

Stinking Orange Oyster mushrooms on conifer log; stemless cluster growing like brackets in varied sizes; orange coloured with fuzzy texture, in the center there are two that have separated giving the appearance of a half open mouth.
