Après la découverte du clavicorde, un instrument rare, Antoine Berland, un des Vibrants défricheurs, a exploré son instrument, composé un répertoire, donné des concerts et enregistré un album, Ouate ! avec neuf titres et autant de promenades surprenantes dans des décors sonores très colorés.

Around 200 musicians from the fields of free improvised music, jazz, electronics and contemporary composed music have been involved, in always genderbalanced line-ups.
The VIO has been a guest at the Moers Festival, Wien Modern, the Artacts festival f jazz & improvised music, at numerous spaces in the context of the fine arts, at the Porgy&Bess, Brut Wien a.m.m.
Founded by Michael Fischer in 2004, the VIO is one of the earliest, continuously working improvisation orchestras worldwide.
