Seems someone is trying to break into my myGov account, so they sensibly blocked it after several wrong passwords. Now they want me to change my password? Surely the fact it failed shows I’m already using a secure password? They also blocked login with an e‑mail address (which they imply was my choice?) and now require me to use their generated ID number, which is probably more secure, but a whole lot less human.

I really want to know what decision-making process went into designing #MyGov such that suburbs with hyphens aren't valid addresses. Like, what blisteringly inept person decided that? Same question goes to the team who designed the #Medicare website. Did they decide that a) hyphenated suburbs do not and will never exist, or that b) it would be easier for everyone who ever lives in one to manually call up rather than write decent code?

Hmm it looks like the MyID App on iPhone it utterly borked at the moment.

Launch it, it does a FaceID verification, then instant crashes.

App Store reviews seem to suggest it’s been broken since the last release which was ... *checks notes* ... one month ago 🤦🏻‍♂️

That's a pretty pathetic timeframe to release a fix for an app that is completely broken..
