This is an autumn season photo taken in landscape format of an accessible hiking trail that passes through a wooded area. The trail curves to the right at about a ninety degree angle where this photo was taken. The remaining leaves on the deciduous trees in this area are orangish in colour. Fallen leaves can be seen on the paved trail surface and also on the ground. The afternoon sun created a bit of a backlighting effect for the trees in this area. The photo definitely gives off a fall vibe.

This is an autumn season landscape format photo of an accessible trail that runs through a forested area. Many leaves have fallen onto the ground on both sides of the trail, with some on the paved asphalt surface. This part of the forest contains a mix of both deciduous and coniferous trees on both sides of the trail. Some fall coloured leaves that remain on the branches stand out against the green background of the coniferous trees. The photo was taken on an overcast day and the trail is somewhat wet due to recent rain showers. The trail makes a left turn up ahead, next to a low wooden fence, which can been seen in the centre of the frame.

This is a portrait format photo of a large mature deciduous tree that sits beside an accessible hiking trail. The sky was a nice blue colour on this day and a dusting of freshly fallen snow was on the ground. Many fallen leaves can be seen on top of the snow along the trail's surface. While many of the tree's branches are now bare on this mid-November day, coloured leaves can still be seen aloft. Autumn colours continue to be on display above, even with snow on the ground. The image is one of transition between autumn and winter with both seasons present within the frame.

This is an autumn scene looking slightly uphill along an accessible urban hiking trail. The ground is covered in brownish coloured fallen leaves and shadows are being cast by the tree branches above on this sunny day. The centre of the photo is focused on a deciduous tree which still has many leaves on it. The top section of the photo is comprised of leaves with only traces of the sky bleeding through. The natural lighting on this tree is what caught my eye and was the trigger for me to capture this image.

This photo is of a small pond in a wetland area. The sky is blue with an number of white clouds in view. A tree stump, approximately three feet high, is seen in the middle of the pond. As this photo was taken in mid-November, most of the leaves have already fallen from the surrounding trees. Some ducks can be seen swimming in the water, and "sunning" while sitting on rocks that are above the water's surface. Cattails can be seen in the foreground of the photo at the "near edge" of the pond.

This is a summer season photo that was taken on a hiking trail which overlooks a lowland section of a mature forest. The overarching colour in view is green due to the mix of both coniferous and deciduous trees in the area. A number of trees have fallen down and lie on the forest floor of the the lowland area. Some sunshine is cutting through the high trees creating some shadows. The photo helps to confirm that as in life, things can be a bit messy on the forest floor.

This photo was taken in early September on a hiking trail in a mature forested area. Trees, mainly coniferous, line both sides of the trail and form an arch over the walking surface. This creates a tunnel effect looking along the trail's path. The trail is carpeted in fallen pine needles which are brown in colour. Tree roots can be seen protruding up slightly above the trail's surface. The centre of the photo is brighter as the sun was more prominently shining through the trees in that area.

This is an autumn season photo of a small public parkette with two bright blue metal benches. There are a number of deciduous trees in the background which are bright with fall colours. A raised circular planter can be seen on the right side of the photo. Fallen leaves cover some of the surface of the walking path in this area. A padlock has been attached to the back of one of the metal park benches. This photo definitely has an autumn vibe associated with it.
