@fuzzybitchy Thanks for the info, I'm trying out #Amperfy as we speak, looks more polished than what we installed on my wifes phone yesterday.
I'm already sold on #Navidrome and have already set it up with all my music.

Might be a shot in the dark, but is there anyone out there self-hosting Navidrome on a Raspberry Pi (or other device), and powering it using solar power?

@talktech I have had a #JellyFin setup for the longest time now, all my video needs are fulfilled by it. Music wise I am looking into #Navidrome and for #Audiobooks I just installed #AudioBookshelf this past week.
It is just amazing how much normal every day life depends on the internet.. it sucks
My #internet has been quite fun tonight..
Adds to my thoughts that I should set up more #SelfHosted #Media solutions since I could not even listen to #Music since that is all streamed..
Now looking into #Navidrome

So the tailscale experiment with bridging the network I’ve installed at my mom’s house in Missouri with my home office in California has been a complete success.
I’ve some minor things, small file transfers mainly running for a few months. This time I was serving NextCloud, Jellyfin, and Navidrome over Tailscale from home. Even watched a couple movies with mom off my laptop streaming from Jellyfin over tailscale. A few hiccups here and there but overall it’s been solid.

@grim_elsewhere Cool stuff for #SelfHosting includes #audiobookshelf #syncthing #navidrome #vaultwarden #owntracks #nextcloud #matrix_synapse #prosody and probably more that I can’t recall at the moment 😉
Added 2 more second hand CDs / albums from ebay to #navidrome. The collection is growing...

It's interesting: since I set up #navidrome for my MP3s, I "rediscovered" a lot of precious bands.
I know I could have had them on Spotify as well, but... Obviously I needed to focus on my MP3s to call them from the back of my mind.
#Navidrome is working great, but I’m having syncing and performance issues with #Submariner. On iOS, #Amperfy works quite well. https://apps.apple.com/de/app/amperfy-music/id1530145038

Does anyone have any experience with #FOSS music streaming services? #Ampache #Subsonic #Navidrome
I’ve used Bandcamp but can’t always find the artist I want and artist don’t always offer digital music. I’m curious about Tidal but not sure if it’s worth the switch and unsure how much they pay their artist. I’ve heard #Spotify is $0.003 or something like that per listen.
Ooof, I do have to admit it is slow going migrating my music files through beets. I am doing this mostly to get all the album art but also correct some metadata. If I were not such a high-attention-to-detail-type I would just let it go automatically, but when it matches the wrong album it is really wrong. Anyway, I'm going by artist directory and I have only 795 to go out of 826.
The amount of joy and satisfaction I get from streaming music from my Raspberry Pi back at home to my phone/car wherever I am is greater than expected and probably greater than it should be. And I'm shocked how good it sounds.
