Watched the animated movie "Flow". I'll have to *listen* to it later because our dog decided to bark at every sound that wasn't music. Lots of animal sounds. Must be actual ones because he doesn't bark at the amazing voicer over actor Frank Welker copying them. Watched on mute anyway and it was still wonderful and worth every award it should get.
"Dawn of the Croods" S4E9 "Caverns and Creepers" demonstrated why I didn't enjoy playing the last RPG I played. Eep acted exactly like the one person who ruined it for everyone.
Now the only part I remember actually liking when I first saw it.
Something I didn't realize I used a lot. Cabinet knobs in the kitchen.
Realized this in our new house when I went to hang a bag of groceries on one of the knobs, and saw that there weren't any. Our kitchen cabinets have no knobs and our kitchen drawers have no handles.
Which is fine until I keep trying hang stuff, like a clean towel on one. Which I must have done a *lot* more often than I thought.
Reminded me of Hank Scorpio's test for Homer in "The Simpsons".
I still want to see Dana Simpson's "Phoebe and Her Unicorn" as an animated show.
It's an absolute delight. And so funny.

"The Warriors" movie but they're the kids from the animated show "Recess" and Nigel from the animated show "The Kids Next Door" is playing the part of Luther. And from the animated show "Doug", Doug Funny and Patty Mayonnaise are the police.
And it's Lin-Manuel Miranda's soundtrack.

This is a really good animation tutorial on animating a pendulum swing.
I really like the "dope sheet" numbers that keep things organized for timing.
If you've been animating you probably already know this.
Watched "Marcel The Shell With Shoes On" and really enjoyed it.
Had to watch it a second time for the pretty darn good story because I kept getting distracted by wondering "how did they do that?" Fantastic Chiodo Brithers stop-motion.

Is a really good animated movie on Netflix that is now free on YouTube. Definitely worth watching. Based on a graphic novel they made some changes to, so they're like similar stories in 2 different universes. Both really good.

La Belle et la Bête by Jean Cocteau
I was dreaming about this version of Beauty and the Beast for days after I saw it.
Much later, the Disney version became my favorite of their 2D animated films.
Previous post of mine made me think about how much humor, especially in Warner Bros. Cartoons was based on some sort of speech impediment or mangling of a non-English language in the past.
I had to have a speech therapist when I as really young because I pronounced my "R"s as "W"s. I was actually never made fun of for that. Plenty of other things, but not that.
I really liked the first few seasons of #Disenchanted but I loved this last season, it was so enjoyable and funny and sad and thoughtful and still funny. Great stuff.
