Feel the power of 5,000 years at Newgrange, a sacred place where stone and light become one.

Today’s #StandingStoneSunday is a more distant view of the entrance stones at #Newgrange. You can judge the weather from the coat that the lady is wearing. I hope to have some brand new standing stone photos for you next Sunday. Fingers crossed. #ireland #neolithic

Colour shit of the entrance to Newgrange. Three large stones on their sides.

Today’s #StandingStoneSunday is more like a LayingStoneSunday in this close up of the lovely stone by the entrance of #newgrange in #ireland Such amazing art. This was taken on a very wet grey day when my daughter (then about 11) and I visited with our dear artist friend, Giovanni and his partner, Paola. #neolithic

Close up of a large grey standing stone lying down. It has beautiful spirals engraved on it.

Here’s #Newgrange and one of its stone for #StandingStoneSunday taken on a dull day a few years ago. Can’t wait to go back. A magical place.

A view of lovely #newgrange and a standing stone for #StandingStoneSunday visited on a chilly, February day a few years ago now with my artist friend, Giovanni, his partner Paola, and my daughter #teen1. I’d really love to get back there for another visit. It’s an amazing place. #neolithic #ireland (I think that’s #teen1’s head in the bottom centre)

For #StandingStoneSunday here is a shot of the Hill of Tara. Taken on the same day / trip as the #Newgrange shots posted over the last few months. Gosh it was wet and windy up there that day. I was especially happy to get there as it’s mentioned in the first #ArtemisFowl book by Mr C. Follow for more stones. #ireland #HillofTara #neolithic
