This is an old story about a prison escape in NH in 2003. It mentions suicide, because the man who helped them escape died that way. He was a friend and it was tragic, none of us know why he helped these guys except Maybe for the money and because they had been his friends when he was an inmate.

Anyway, the reason I share this is because the prison was a clown show. They were pretty much begging people to escape. Of course New Hampshire would spend money purchasing security cameras for the prison they hadn’t even installed a year later. Because of course we would.

22 years ago was such a different time. They wouldn’t have made it out of town if it happened these days, and if they did there would be a steady stream of ring cameras recording their path.

I miss my friend. The hospital kept him on life-support and tell everyone could show up and say goodbye, mainly because they wanted his family to donate his organs. And they did. But the organ donation people were so awful I actually took the organ donor design designation off my ID after this experience because they terrified me.

If the red flag laws worked like they were supposed to this man would not have been able to purchase these guns.

@tek oh yeah this is my major problem with this. Especially after the NH dispensaries decided they could violate everyone’s privacy.

This ended up in my mail in 2024, I’ve never been to this dispensary, they aren’t allowed to send mail like this. They weren’t even allowed to market to us until 2023.

I also don’t want anyone seeing the bills I received from Pain management because then they will have reason to believe I have good meds in here that are worth money on the street.

It’s really upsetting to me.

Edit to add: I freaked out about this and when I complained to the state the man who oversees the #TCP (medical cannabis program in #NH ) he told me they would have serious consequences. Their serious consequences were they had to write a letter explaining how they will make sure it doesn’t happen again. That was it and it took this man a full 12 months to get this information for me, on purpose so it was too late for me to report a HIPAA violation.

I kind of freaked out at him. All I could picture in my head was the Bart Simpson meme of him writing on the chalkboard over and over again, and they didn’t even have to write over and over. They just had to write a little letter. They didn’t even get a fine.

But now the post office has record of everyone in this state that had a medical cannabis card in 2024, meaning Elon Musk and Donald Trump have that list now too. Sweet huh?
