A line of granite rock outcrops like this one runs along the shore of Massabesic Lake and offers nice, if not commanding, views of the surrounding landscape

A big granite rock outcropping surrounded by mostly dedicuous trees that have dropped their leaves as well as a few evergreens

Since Massabesic Lake is the water supply for Manchester, NH it's one of very few lakes in Southern NH which isn't crammed with ticky-tacky houses; a trail leads from the road to a point where you're surrounded by water on three sides

In the lower right there is a big granite rock and past that a smooth lake reflecting stratus clouds and trees that line it

Pond by an old railroad grade by Massabesic Lake near Manchester, NH where I grew up -- I walked here almost every day when I was a teen

A small pond reflects the sky and forest on the far side with a row of cattails and a small tree in the foreground including a little bit of a railroad grade on the far right

This graffiti covered bunker in on top of a huge earth berm and would have been used to target two pairs of 16 inch guns had German ships approached the coast in WWI or WWII.

A concrete bunker with colorful red, yellow and blue graffiti has a narrow slot to look out of and has winter-phase trees that aren't very tall behind it.

Believe it or not they were worried about German Battleships approaching the New England coast in WWI so they built a huge earth berm at what is now Odiorne Point State Park with two tunnels under it -- that circle you can see once held a turret with two 16 inch battleship guns

A person can be seen tiny and silhouetted behind a big circle underneath a tunnel with walls made of long granite rocks.

The middle segment of this elevator bridge between Portsmouth, NY and Kittery, ME goes up and down to let ships through, something I saw many times when I was growing up in the region but didn't get to see on my latest trip

A bridge has a low-slung deck over the water with two tall towers in the center under a blue sky with just a few white clouds in the distance.

Please support NH HB1371 when it comes up for public comment. (Prohibiting application fees for residential rental agreements.)

Some of these application fees are out of hand. ESPECIALLY if they reject you for not meeting the income minimums they keep secret.

When I worked for a private landlord the leasing guy would look at the application and if he realized you didn’t have enough income he would just mail everything back to you. I was the only one in that office who would offer the income information every time someone called to ask about availability AND when I would show a unit AND when people dropped apps off in person.

But when I applied to alliance asset management years ago they took my $30 even though they didn’t even pull my credit because I didn’t meet the minimum income requirements.

Reading my Social Security award letter and sending me a rejection letter didn’t cost them $30. It was bullshit.

Soft fluffy grass in most of the field with a little dirty at the bottom right and at the right edge of the water below the horizon with detailed overcast clouds.

Once you head north from Hampton Beach the coastline becomes a lot less busy: here's a rocky coastline near Rye, NH

Black and white image: to the far right there's a road, then a concrete wall and a large mass of rocks meeting the ocean, in the background a segment of coastline bends towards the left.

Goddess Statue in support of sailors at Hampton Beach, right out in front of the hotel I stayed at

Statue of a woman with a bare shoulder dress that breaks into rufflers at her feet on a round pedestal with hotel buildings in the background
