Happy Friday! Now that you've successfully manoeuvered your way through half term, why not celebrate by popping to either of our venues this evening for a fun food.

At Wells Road we have #CraziJalfrezi bringing curry, indian street food and pizzas (treat the kids!). Meanwhile, down at The Farm Tap on #WindmillHillCityFarm, #GurtWings will be serving their signature award-winning chicken between 5 & 8pm.

I'm calling this a 'posh' chip butty.... well, the remains of the 2nd one I've been nomming on.

Sea salt and black pepper crispy fries cooked in the airfryer, sandwiched between slices of a fresh, still warm red leicester and cheddar bread... with a nice dollop of fruity sauce to dip it in.

I'd not had a chip butty in ages and on the way back from a bit of a day out... we were hungry and just fancied some chips... but the risk of going to a chip shop and getting a bag of soggy, greasy smooshed into a lump chips... didn't appeal.

So as we'd been to M & S and picked up some fresh bread... a chip butty was just what the belly wanted.

#BadPicsOfFood time again... and because it's a Sunday... it's roast.

Roasted chicken, honey roasted carrots & parsnips, lovely crispy roast potatoes, sage and onion stuffing (with sourdough breadcrumbs) and some minty mushy peas... why minty mushy peas... Well, I'm not a fan of garden peas, but I do love the tinned marrowfat ones... and I opened mushy by mistake... throw some mint sauce in and it gives them some pep and still goes with anything... I do those with beer battered fish too.

Anyway... enjoy, drool away and know that I am currently #NomNomNom ing my way to deliciously tasty bliss.

#BadPicsOfFood for lunch today is a cheese, ham and worcestershire sauce sourdough toasties.

With cheese so cheesey and melty... it bubbles up through the holes in the sourdough as you bite into it.

Now I have a cheese burn on one of my fingers... yes... it's the one I use the most.

#BadPicsOfFood that I forgot to post the other day.

Popped out to run some errands at the start of the week... ended up going for lunch and I know the fish and chips here are rather nice.

Beer battered cod, very crispy chunky chips, a little pot of mushy peas, and big dollop of ketchup and another of mayo... they even give you some bread in case you fancy making a chip butty.... I didn't... I wanted too... But it was a large meal that I couldn't finish, so throwing bread into the mix would have dire consequences.

Maybe I should see if they do a kids portion next time... a smaller piece of fish and a few less chips would def allow me to make the chip butty.
