Tracking my checked luggage with Google Find Hub on my trip to Montreal worked surprisingly well.
Much better than ~2 years ago when I first got a Pebblebee tracker.
I also like that they come in different form factors. This time I got one in credit card format that slides into the existing luggage tag.

After a few days van camping in the Nevada high desert with two smol dogs, I smelt funky and so tried Skunky, a combo scrubbing pad and no-rinse decontaminator.
A lot of the dirt is still on me (no rinse, obs) but I do feel less stinky and less likely to get a rash or anger a fungus.

@lepidotos @psilocervine @NanoRaptor this is more or less exactly what Framework did in the Framework 16 laptop. if you take the keyboard off (toolless) you can remove six screws and pull the entire back of the laptop (including the cooling fans) out and swap in a different GPU module. the interposer connector carries 8 lanes of PCIe gen 3 in addition to displayport and plenty of power, but there are otherwise no restrictions as to what can be installed there and all of the CAD drawings are open source. an RTX 5070 module and a RX 7700S module, as well as a blank module that just has the fans and relies on the CPU's integrated graphics, are currently available for purchase, although I've hard of at least one project designing a board for a PCIe SDR that fits into that slot instead.

the whole appeal of mac to my dad, a poweruser, is how much he could get out of it. he uses a bunch of programs that add shortcuts and automate functions, and has practically prevented all the ipads in the house from becoming obsolete (shoutout imazing #notsponsored). but the newer systems he gets, the less effective it all becomes because of "security reasons" and attempts to unify all the OSes under the apple ecosystem
