Приветствую вас, друзья! Когда под рукой хороший тренажёр, так и тянет опробовать на нём новые для себя технологии и инструменты, сделать какой-то интересный проект. Или получше познакомиться с ним, чтобы в дальнейшем использовать как платформу для обкатывания новых идей. Сегодня поиграемся с экраном и векторным анализатором цепей ОСА 103, подружим OpenOCD с Малиной и немного покопаемся в прошивке. Вперёд к экспериментам!

Полигон для творчества за 1500 р. Ч1: Позовите Кряка

Приветствую вас, друзья! Не знаю как вам, а мне нравится разбирать всякие штучки, узнавать, как они работают, и применять их в своих проектах. По ходу дела начинается настоящее увлекательнейшее расследование, технический детектив. На этот раз меня заинтересовала плата с разными микросхемами, которые могут пригодиться во многих затеях. А может из неё вообще получится удобная отладка? В любом случае, это очень интересно. Это тот самый творческий процесс, приносящий радость и заметно повышающий наши навыки и умения. А ведь они часто самое ценное, что дал проект и работа над ним. Проведём расследование, поищем JTAG, узнаем способы и отследим разводку BGA , поработаем с ПЛИС, … и много других действительно интересных вещей. Кряк уже заинтересовался! Как там у нас обычно? «Сломать, а потом читать инструкцию». Инструкций и документации нет, поэтому будем экспериментировать ломать ! ☺

#Deskbot today is Fi...er, Novastar, from the Power of the Primes line (Yes, I've been dipping into that well a lot lately - this is the last for a while).

Novastar is a bit special to me, being part of the Orthia combiner. I won't go into specifically why that is important to me, suffice to say buying her, Moonracer and POTP Elita-1 for Christmas this year was a very personal milestone.

It's also amusing how she's linked to another beloved character from my childhood, Marvel's Firestar, given the Transformer had that name once and presumably never again now it's in the mighty mouse mitts of no less than Disney.

But "Novastar" is perfectly fine. 😁

It's also great to see a woman Transformer. I don't do enough of those, I think. They should be celebrated more because awesome.

Novastar is a Cybertronian (cough) car, a long and narrow thing of futuristic design. This one has Toyhax stickers applied increasing the Bling factor significantly. These molds are also good in that the Combiner backpack bit really suits being attached to the vehicle mode instead of sticking out like a sore thumb on most others so I've pictured that here.

The rear of the vehicle mode. Normally you'd see her two robot fists kinda just hanging out at the back here but I've plugged her weapon into one as kind of a vehicle part, almost like a engine where the rear bumper lives on Earth cars, which works surprisingly well.

Novastar transformed to robot mode. With a lot of female figures Hasbro work the trick of fitting a lithe feminine robot mode into a vehicle by giving the ladies quite the backpack of folded car bits. Nova and her four mold-sisters, Moonracer, Chromia, Lancer and Greenlight, all share this trait. Thankfully it doesn't detract from the great looking robot...from the front at least. It does make her centre of gravity a bit high, though, posing problems for posing.

Deskbot today is the Elita-1 based Combiner, Elita Infinite!

I'm flying out to the US this Christmas so that left me with a dilemma. No point taking all my pressies with me, and waiting would be cruel and unusual, so the solution was simple; all this week I'm treating myself to one a day, Advent Calendar style!

Elita-1 (Elita One, not Minus One) and her two sisters-in-arms (#CombinerPun - see photo below) are my big gift to myself this year. 3/5ths of the girl-power combiner, Orthia, but who adopt the name Elita Infinite if paired with any other Transformers (Like Jazz and Wheeljack in the photos here). The fun thing about Elita Infinite is they are most likely to become some degree of non-binary Combiner (Nonbiner?), at least one fifth or her being female in any quintuple permutation. Gender-fluid combiner representation, hoooo!

It was fortunate finding Elita-1, Moonracer and Novastar all available from the same vendor, one of those nice Collecting happenstances that occurs now and again. They all have Toyhax stickers pre-applied too, adding to their visual and collector appeal. But only Primus knows if I'm ever likely to land the rare Lancer and the rarer-than-rare Greenlight to complete fabled Orthia.

Transformer Combiner Elita Infinite stood ready for anything. They are composed of Elita-1 as torso. Moonracer as left arm. NovaStar as Right arm. Wheeljack as left shin and Jazz as right shin.

$Elita Infinite (left) stood next to Menasor (right). The Combiner Wars combiner design Elita uses tends to look a little simian in terms of proportion. Arms a fraction too long and legs too short. By contrast Menasor using a more recent design taking full advantage of Motormaster's huge trailer has a more human set of proportions in combined mode. Fun detail: Elita Infinite has the "Autobot Enigma" in her chest, a toyetic version of the Enigma of Combination, a powerful artefect that grants combination ability to any Transformer!$

Overall good #transformers, if they didn't ha e to be model thin then the backpacks could have turned out better I think.
