Across the river, a green and white ferry has pulled into the wharf at Parramatta Quay. Behind it are trees and tall glass skyscrapers. The river water is a mix of green and blue. The sky is very blue.A closer look at the ferry, looking downward from across the river.

The bottom half of the ferry is dark green with the word "RiverCat" in white letters, and the top half is white. It has outdoor seating at the front and rear.

Behind it are trees, tall office buildings, and the outdoor dining areas of restaurants with tables under white umbrellas. This photo is shot from a similar vantage point to the first one. Except now the ferry has pulled out of the wharf and is floating downstream towards a bend in the river. There's a construction crane on the horizon in the distance.

From this angle, you can also see a boardwalk and some green shrubs on the riverbank closest to me.The ferry is now almost out of sight as it turns the river bend. It's now a long way downstream.

Four glass skyscrapers, a crane, and many trees are visible on the far side of the river.

There are no clouds in the sky. It's very blue.

On the riverbank closest to me, there's a man jogging along the boardwalk below. There are also many green and yellow shrubs, and some eucalyptus trees.

Waiting for a boat at Parramatta Quay...

The turning basin for the Parramatta RiverCat ferry service. On the left is a concrete seating area underneath a wooden structure. A wharf, where passengers embark and disembark, floats on the water. A tall apartment skyscraper towers overhead. The sky is very blue, reflected in the water. There's trees on the riverbank in the distance. The same scene as before, shot further around the turning basin. The reflection of the tall apartment skyscraper is now clearly visible in the blue river water. Some more office buildings are now visible to the left of the wooden seating structure.Looking at the Quay from the opposite side, slightly downriver. The sun looks white in this photo against a very blue sky. The water is teal, reflecting a mix of trees and sky. More office buildings are visible on the horizon.A seating area near Parramatta Quay. It's a fairly new and highly varnished wooden structure that looks a bit like a stadium grandstand. Underneath are several rows of concrete bleachers.

People sitting in garden chairs as local music students perform a rock song in a free public concert. Behind the stage are green and red lights in the shape of triangles. The triangle lights are now purple. A girl in a grey top and sunglasses is singing. Joining her on stage is a lady with pink hair and a blue guitar, a woman dressed in black with shades playing a red bass guitar, a man with a black beanie and a black shirt playing another guitar, and an older gentleman (presumably a music teacher?) on drums.Passers by near the train station entrance stop to listen to the music.

Has the NSW government found a real solution to the housing crisis?

Premier Chris Minns is still chasing his “big dream” after a multi‑billion dollar proposal for Rosehill was rejected last month. Now he’s looking at Plan B — high‑rise apartments on prime Sydney Harbour land at Glebe Island Port.

But this isn’t about solving housing shortages. It’s about rewarding developer lobbyists and grabbing premium waterfront land for their profits. Pure greed, dressed up as a housing solution.

Along with ducks, a beautiful main street, the Hawkesbury River, and all-you-can-eat Pizza Hut, the town of Windsor also has an abundance of beautiful heritage buildings. Here are some examples.
