We’ve just hit a major ocean protection milestone at the UN Ocean Conference — 50 countries have now ratified the Global Ocean Treaty! This means we only need 10 more before we can start using the Treaty to create ocean sanctuaries 🌍💙

🌊 The #EUDigitalOceanPavilion at the 3rd UN Ocean Conference in Nice will feature insightful discussions and immersive exhibitions!

From 2 to 13 June, the Pavilion will showcase the cutting-edge technologies developed at the EU level to protect the marine ecosystem and promote a sustainable #BlueEconomy.

All Aboard for the Third “Floating University” 🎓🌊

This week, the German research vessel #POLARSTERN sets sail from the subtropical Mindelo, Cabo Verde, on a special expedition.

On board are 13 Master’s students from West Africa, who will experience marine research at first hand during the two-week voyage to Bremerhaven, Germany.
