Graciosa, a Baleia Vaidosa - Educational Storytelling Kit, 2020

I designed an educational kit for the Alcobaça Municipal Library to bring Sofia Quaresma’s Graciosa, the Vain Whale to life. The story follows a vain humpback whale navigating plastic-filled seas, raising awareness of ocean pollution. The kit includes a script and a magnetic theatre backdrop that unfolds with the tale, creating an interactive storytelling experience.

This is the back of the Educational kit. you can see the straps here. the doors, open, s slider comes out of the door, and another slider comes out off the first slider - this, as the story evolves the scene evolves as well. This is the front of the Educational kit. you can see the whales swimming here. "Graciosa, a baleia vaidosa" is the title of the book that inspires this project. The story tackles the pressing issue of ocean pollution, following the adventures of a vain humpback whale navigating through seas filled with plastic waste. My taskThis photo shows the closes exterior of the wood-build theatre type backpack kit. The opening shows a turtle and a plastic bottle.

Working on the third Draconim book led me to the North Pacific garbage patch. It's massive—just one of three major garbage patches choking our oceans. If you haven’t looked it up, please do. It’s eye-opening—and heartbreaking.
