Die Offshore-Windkraft in der #Nordsee soll bis 2050 auf 300 GW ausgebaut werden.

Bereits bis 2030 sind 120 GW geplant, fast das Zehnfache der heutigen Leistung. Die #Nordsee bietet ideale Bedingungen, doch fehlende #Produktionskapazitäten und Probleme bei Ausschreibungen bremsen den Fortschritt. Ein neues #Finanzierungsmodell mit staatlich garantierten Preisen könnte ab 2027 für mehr #Investitionssicherheit sorgen.

So können die berühmt-berüchtigten #HGÜ-Leitungen, die "den Strom aus dem Norden in den Süden transportieren", - hoffentlich - durch #Wasserstoff-Rohrleitungen oder #Wasserstoff-#Tankschiffe ersetzt werden. Wasserstoff dient dann auch gleich als #Energiespeicher

Das Verfahren ließe sich in Ländern nutzen, wo sauberes / destilliertes Wasser knapp ist.

Der Ausbau von #Offshore-#Windenergie in Nord- und #Ostsee stockt, weil es an geeigneten #Spezialschiffen fehlt.

Der Verband für #Schiffbau warnt vor Engpässen, da größere Anlagen weiter entfernt zur Küste gebaut werden. Vor allem leistungsstarke Installations- und #Kabellegeschiffe sind knapp. Bisher kommen sie meist von ausländischen Reedereien. Der Verband fordert mehr europäische Fertigung, um den wachsenden Bedarf künftig selbst decken zu können.
