1 hat uns am Styleguide vom #39c3 gefallen: Die (Wieder-)Entdeckung der #variablefonts, früher von Adobe auch als #MultipleMaster vermarktet. Seit #OpenType v1.8 auch im Standard.
Leider hat die verwendete Schrift #Kario nur eine properitäre Event-Lizenz, also ist nicht(!) #OFL o.ä. Hier als Recherche Grundlage für's nächste mal, evt. #40c3

I have been perusing some beautifully typeset notes for three lectures on logic that @consequently shared recently: https://consequently.org/handouts/whl-l.pdf (sample pages attached)
The document has a very elegant combination of fonts (all freely available under the Open Font Licence):
• Alegraya ht for the body text [https://huertatipografica.com/en/fonts/alegreya-ht-pro];
• Alegraya Sans ht for the sidenotes and headings [https://huertatipografica.com/en/fonts/alegreya-sans-ht];
• AMS Euler for mathematics [exists in various versions, e.g. https://ctan.org/pkg/euler-math].
The layout is compact without being overly dense and the sidenotes are cleanly separated from the main text by colour and font.
I *think* the "ebproof" package [https://ctan.org/pkg/ebproof] was used for the proof trees. (Please correct me if I am wrong, @consequently)
I understand that my own package "marginalia" [https://ctan.org/pkg/marginalia] was used to create the sidenotes — and seeing it contribute in a small way to beautiful results like this is part of what makes package creation worthwhile. :-)

After numerous experiments, spending too much money on fancy LED fixtures, and building a test #JavaFX UI, here it is. It didn't take this long because it's extremely complex, but rather because it's a pet project alongside other work and pet projects. 😉

Was doing some aesthetic improvements on #iter-vitae , my #curriculum / #cv / #resume generator that is written in #guile #scheme (a #lisp) and runnable with #guix.
I am now a happy user of #ibm #plex #font #family 😀 really elegant, legible and a #foss font, if we can call it that (#ofl)

L'Office fédéral du logement (OFL) a annoncé lundi une baisse de 0,25 point de pourcentage du taux d'intérêt de référence applicable aux contrats de bail, qui passe à 1,5%. Les locataires de toute la Suisse pourront ainsi prétendre à une réduction de loyer à partir de l'été. #OFL #news
