As someone who travels for work and loves to find great eateries, I eat out a fair bit; as a result, over the last year, I have cooked less, and less adventurously. In an effort to reverse the trend, I have been cooking old favourites and trying new stuff too. Over the last week or so, I've been working on learning how to make onigiri, one of my favourite take-away snacks. Today's version was fresh smoked tarakihi with red pepper, fried shallots and avocado.
