Flight from Edinburgh delayed by 30 minutes due to fog. Luckily connecting flight is delayed for an hour, so no mad rush at the terminal.

PSA: It’s good to have a copy of your infant’s birth certificate when traveling. We were challenged at the airline checkin desk, seems it’s a soft requirement but YMMV. Thankfully we had a digital copy handy.
The camera and lens made it unscathed. Whew. The rest is the glass was in my backpack. WHEW!
We ran into a longtime ground ops friend who at 6 AM made a big deal about the kiddo’s first flight. This airline is always so personable.
We thought we would be smart and the wife would kick me out at the curb with the baby, stroller, and bags to check while she parked. I grabbed the wrong bag and just checked about $6K worth of camera gear. Meant to carry that one with me! First big mistake of the trip, and it’s just getting started 😅 #travel #havebabywilltravel #airtravel #onholiday

We were stranded in NYC for a day due to a certain airline’s poor fleet management practices and total lack of irrop preparedness.
Trying to find a bright side, so… We had a chance to visit the 1960s-themed TWA Hotel outside JFK’s T5. Very well done homage to #KC’s hometown #airline.
Today we visited The Postal Museum here in London. What a well done attraction. Visitors begin the experience with a ride on the Mail Rail which was an underground train strictly for mail which ran from 1927 to 2003. The museum and ride may have been my favorite attraction this trip. 😍
