Used my new (old) wide angle lens to take this photo, to illustrate the fact that we haven't seen the bottom of our deck in quite a while.
snowsqualls will continue until the ice concentration improves. #onstorm
Ontario & Quebec (General): ❄️ Squall alert! Cold air over the Great Lakes is triggering heavy snow bands for parts of Southern Ontario and Quebec. Visibility is dropping fast in some zones. If you're driving the 401 or the 20, stay alert! #ONStorm #QCWx https://youtu.be/pG7l1lLfyeg

It seems the #Ottawa #stormShield had merely stored the snow and is dumping it all on us now. #onstorm
don't worry, folks, Dougie's on his way!!
Toronto, Ontario ☁️ Grey skies for #Toronto today. Expect a high of 2°C with a 40% chance of light flurries or drizzle this afternoon. It’s a bit of a damp chill, so a warm scarf is your best friend. Winds from the SW at 15 km/h. Dropping to -2°C tonight. Perfect weather for a museum visit or catching a game indoors! #The6ix #TorontoWX #ONStorm
Here's the radar loop, you can see the squall line passes north of the GTA.
The cold front sure blew in hard yesterday afternoon. It was dry as it cut through the GTA with a barely visible shelf cloud. Still, not bad for January! A little more moisture and heat would have resulted in some t-storms.
I think it’s been what…14, 16 days since the app had no active alerts.
It’s a New Year’s miracle.
🚨 Wild weather week ahead:
• 3+ ft lake-effect snow near Erie & Ontario
• Freeze hits Florida
• SoCal faces flash flooding risk
Stay alert through Jan 6.

Snow squall warning in many areas has ended, but not in ours. We still got our Orange Warning, which might last until New Year's Day. We're expecting an additional 40 cm snow to be dumped on top of the the crapload we already got. Ugh.
