I recall in my teens I often had moments of clarity that were completely, 100% creative in nature. I was very creative back then, always making some form of art, most often music. So we can see that #ontological moments are based on what we know. Now in my mid-40s moments of clarity have returned, after a long absence. Often they are secular, all-seeing, holistic, and fitting. But sometimes the clarity draws on my years of religious studies, so naturally, they are spiritual. So very subjective.

"The system" doesn't exist outside our mindsets, logics, values. It's embedded in and reproduced by them.
So we can't possibly speak about #systemchange without speaking of change of what's fundamentally system's foundation.
Hence my interest in #ontological change. Just making that clear to myself too :)
Are our religious #beliefs justifiable? In other words, which of our faith claims are #ontological claims? Which are subjective claims?
We must ask because we usually have faith that our beliefs are true, yet faith is not synonymous with #knowledge.
And now an even deeper question: How can anyone know that any of our claims about beliefs or knowledge are true? We feel like we have knowledge ("I know that such-and-such is true") but how did we come to know this?

I think #SystemsTheory (#SystemsThinking and #SystemsDynamics ) with #Attractors and #Affordances gives us a good path to #Ought from #Is. The #ontological reality of the #system you are in defines the #moral landscape on which you operate.

I understand #EpistemicHumility but don't know where to put the #OntologicalHumility.
Just because we are not able to perceive the "true" #Reality, that does not mean such a thing does not exist and that we all live in our own little #AlternativeReality.
I think a much better term would be #ControlHumility for the fact that our #control capabilities do not extend beyond controlling our own internal #state.
