Today in "Fun with your homelab":
One of my openSUSE MicroOS machines was under heavy load for a week and I could not find out what was wrong. I noticed that SSH logins were no longer possible, the login hung after the "Last login ..." line. Non-interactive logins worked, though.
Today I found out that suddenly this machine requires "ssh -t" or the RequestTTY option to get a working SSH connection. Huh?
All other MicroOS machines are of course unaffected by this (SSH from the same laptop to those machines works without "-t"), otherwise life would not be interesting...
Debugging this and then checking where the high load comes from...

I'm installing #openSUSE Leap on a new server board. And because it has a web based installer, I can monitor the progress from the couch via my phone. Neat! 😃
@lenko Leyendo el artículo de @tecnoysoft, me parece otro caso más de proyecto privado que deja de ser rentable.
Cuando Red Hat se hartó de CentOS lo sacrificó a la causa de sus intereses, y no es de esperar algo distinto de otra empresa privada. Al menos en este caso nos da esperanza que el equipo de Manjaro aparenta querer hacerse cargo.
Mira que me gusta #OpenSUSE y estoy cómodo con él y me da alegrías, ¿pero al final solo va a quedarnos #Debian? ¿O qué pasa?
¿Por cada forma de financiación que encontremos acorde a nuestros intereses va a aparecer algún mecanismo capitalista para arrebatarnos lo que hemos construido con esfuerzo?

My path have started from gentoo with emerge with later various distro hops, like OpenSuse Ubuntu Mint Debian, etc.
But deep dive Gentoo I liked the most, since it had the least issues with packages. The reason I've never came back there, is a compilation time.
I remember how I built KDE for more than 20 hours (Celeron 2.4 in early 2000s).
After many years in MacOS (right now it's also a primary OS, Arch is only on a big PC), it's really confusing that many things are not available without hacks.
In MacOS Homebrew made it so simple, it's hard to accept that Linux may have so many complications with a package distributions.
It looks like snap or flatpack should fix this issue, but they don't. Many things from snap don't work or do not available, flatpack the same.
Installing Homebrew in Linux does not feel right.

What was your first #Linux?
In 2001 my WinME crashed in the evening & it was clear I need to reinstall it! Everything was broken, but very important stuff was on the HDD!
Luckily l lived close to a gas station, which was opened that night & they were selling computer magazines.
So I went with my last money to the gas station & bought one with an #SuseLinux DVD (or CD) & was then able to download my important data.
This was the start of my Linux journey

Nåmen det jeg lærte af min lejen med distroer er at hverken Zorin OS eller CachyOS er noget for mig. Men jeg installerede Gnome desktop i min primære open suse og siden jeg gjorde det har jeg slet ikke haft lyst til at logge ind på KDE, så weekendens projekt bliver at Geninstallere opensuse kun med Gnome desktoppen.
