For reference, the original piece was 600 words. My summary was 140. The example one they gave was 399 and followed by the laughable sentence, "with practice you'll be able to turn a complex paragraph into just a few sentences."
Out here doing the lords work today by complaining to #OpenUniversity that they're using ProQuest's Primo AI research assistant with no option to turn it off or opt out at an individual level.
Yes I can just not use it, but firstly, AI creep is real so that may not be true for long. And secondly, I don't want to accidentally click it and it is situated right next to the search box.

So today has featured complete panic trying to get another weeks extension for my assignment, crying at the assignment because I don't understand how they can expect me to evaluate something without being allowed to read the fully study, sending very Autistic emails to various people to try and get help, and an Autistic friend advising on the assignment question.
OMFG I have to get a grip. I got 75% on one recent assignment and 78% on the other and brain is stuck in "see, your grades are already dropping, this is awful, I might as well just drop out, I suck at this."
Yes I am academically aware that those are good marks but brains gonna brain.

Cracking open YouTube this morning for additional info on propinquity because the book and online resources have not done any job at all of explaining the difference between it and physical proximity, and I need to write an assignment on that.

Powered through another week of uni in 2 hours, which means I can now crack on with this assignment. Hopefully get that smashed out this weekend, and then start playing catch up on my other module.
this afternoon/evenings mission is to power through some of the reading for one of my modules so I can crack on with the assignment in the very near future.
Anyone here have opinions, based on experiences, of studying through the Open University for courses in things like computing or cyber security?

Currently 2 weeks behind now 😭 after being 2 weeks ahead, thanks to personal situations and then an ongoing health crisis.
