Vegetarian Oyster Mushroom Tonkatsu to share with my family in celebration of the life of the man (my father) who inspired my passion for cooking. Some of my favorite memories with my father involve learning how to recreate my favorite childhood meals enjoyed while growing up in Hawaii. L&L Katsu plate lunch will always have a special place in my heart, and making it/ eating it always makes me think back fondly on the memories I have enjoying this meal with my father and family. 🍛🍄🤤💙

This appears to be Oyster Mushrooms. Puzzling thing is I'm pretty sure that's a dead Willow tree they're growing on and it's late spring here in west Michigan. Couldn't find any mention of Oyster Mushrooms, especially Pleurotus populinus which is known to appear in the spring growing on Willow🤔
