Starting to grow some fatter lads in the garden! From left to right: (slightly sunburned) LER; Hydra (cultivar I named); and Walt's Dragon. Plus Jerry bic for size reference. I have two even fatter ones in my garden but I only chopped these because they're grafts. I prefer to let them grow until they're mature stands - a status which none of my lads have reached yet.

A cactus column tip from above - it had 6 bright green ribs and a lot of orange-red spines. The spines look sharp (and they are!), and are small-medium length.

My first degraft of "Hydra". The mother plant has a very unusual shape by Trichocereus standards, rising in a single main column before splitting off into many 'heads'/columns. So far, this hasn't proven to be a stable trait, but I'm hoping it might show once the graft is mature and on its own roots.
