@W1CDN is really putting packet radio on the map.
That's all I'm gonna say at this time.

One more example how nice #PacketRadio looks with ANSI Support. 😅
Over the weekend @meph added some mind blowing new features to lorapipe.
- APRS over LoRa
- Ethernet over LoRa

FlexPacket now also supports ANSI codes for background colors.
Btw, my OpenBCM fork with ANSI Support is already very stable. 🙂

With OpenBCM 1.9 I will bring color into PacketRadio. 🥳
btw, FlexPacket supports ANSI Colors. 😄
@vk6flab I can't connect to it today, but WG0A's packet node in Minneapolis had some #packetRadio games. Old log:

So after reading a bit into the #packetradio #netrom protocol used in #amateurradio, Net/ROM is fixed to 236 byte packets if I read that right? Is there an improved protocol for routing ( #flexnet is closed-source) on top of #il2p (evolution of #ax25 ) ?

FlexPacket now has a multiline editor for writing messages conveniently and easily.😄
#Sideband is an extensible #LXMF #messaging client, situational awareness tracker and remote control and monitoring system for #Android, #Linux, #macOS and #Windows.
It allows you to communicate with other people or LXMF-compatible systems over #Reticulum networks using #LoRa, #PacketRadio, #WiFi, #I2P, Encrypted QR Paper Messages, or anything else Reticulum supports.

I purchased the VR-N76 radio with built-in KISS-TNC. I described how I use it under Linux for PacketRadio and APRS in a short post on my blog.

I've released APRSMap version 0.4.0 right now:
I've added support for local OSM Tiles and fixed some issues with APRS Messages piped from FlexPacket.
I have released FlexPacket -a PacketRadio terminal program- in version 0.7.0. Among new features, it includes bug fixes related to AGW and KISS.
https://github.com/andreaspeters/flexpacket/releases/tag/v0.7.0
With TFKISS version 1.3.0, I have now added support for APRS UI frames. These now appear in the monitoring channel.

Fellow #hamRadio person @scott has been beaconing #BirdNET observations on #packetRadio for some time now on 14.105 MHz LSB.
Which means you can get a real sense of what's happening in his area based on seeing things like this, no Internet required, just RF:
15:44:45R VE3QBZ-7>FLOCK Port=2 <UI>:
>VE3QBZ-7 just heard a House Sparrow for the 169664th time
It's a fun project!

While cleaning up my office, I found some old packet radio equipment that I'm not interested in keeping, and would be willing to pass onto someone who can make good use of it. In particular I have an Argent ADS-GM1 GPS https://www.argentdata.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=85 and an ARGENT OpenTracker+ Both are RS232 (not USB) but if you have the appropriate USB->serial adapter, I suspect they would still work. Make a plea via DM and I'll send them out to you. #hamradio #packetradio
I wrote a short article about how to add a local running wikipedia to the LinBPQ node.
