I'm back home and managed to get some painting done yesterday. Not really sure about the bracelet, maybe I should make it leather and only the spikes metal.

Here's the painted head, converted from a 40K ork. You can see why I felt I needed bigger eyes: I wouldn't have where to put all that detail on the original sculpt. Since I am thinking of entering this into a competition, I will probably do another pass, fixing some of the mistakes I see.

For 38 long years, 40K hobbyists have sullied our precious fantasy models with their guns, powerpacks and powerswords. I say it's about time we pick up our hobby knives and fight back!

Joking aside, there are a lot of cool fantasy to 40K conversions that people are doing, but not so much the reverse. While many models are too far gone (space marines clearly), I have a bunch of stuff in my collection I would like to try my hand at.

This ork head wasn't a great challenge by any stretch. It was only the bullet earring that had to go. I made the eyes bigger so I could paint them better and I also had to elongate the cheekbones to make that work.

Throwback thursday, kinda! My 2025 and 2024 black orcs! I tried to make them fit together as best I could. Still haven't fixed the axe blade as I've been away from home for the past week.

Orctober WIP! I love what I have so far, but there's many things left to do: cloth, skin, straps. I also need to add a bit of ground reflection on the metals and tidy up what I already have; maybe add some scratches. The chainmail sculpting isn't great. I need to somehow paint it better.

Empire in flames! The red-faced goblins have come down from their caves in the World's Edge Mountains to raid the quiet village of Nachtdorf.

Background painted in Krita. I used the Bucegi mountains, which I can see from my window on clear days, as reference. The village is one my train passed by a couple of weeks ago.

A Nasty Skulker! These guys are some of my favorite goblin sculpts ever. They're not night goblins, but I used the same color scheme to make them fit in. He was part of the Mordheim warband I speed-painted last year and polished now. Can't wait to paint the other two!

Hello friends! Here is another of my previously speed-painted models that I've now spent more time on. I'm really happy with how I've been able to paint the eyes on these guys, which I previously thought would be impossible. Also, I'm adding a specular highlight on the nose which I quite like.

Friends, this has been an exciting (and tiring) journey of learning.

1. Hand sculpt in Fimo polymer clay.
2. Raw 3D scan by photogrammetry.
3. Refined model (using Blender).
4. Resin print.

Will I do more? I hope so, but it has been exhausting and I want a break. I really want to see it painted at this point.

Took time to improve my Alpha Legion inductii, added weathering where it was lacking, added XXth to the pads as well. I'm much more happier with the new look they have, I like where this army is heading. I'm really glad I did a polishing phase.
