A spooky journal for the season. Endpapers are handmade paper by @society_of_hermits (on IG) which I purchased from the Printers Fair at @printmuseum (on IG). The cover is a wood veneer card with original art made by @little_gold_fox (on IG).

Bookcloth is a reddish purple silk moire. Text block is made from Church’s short grain paper, warm white, 24 lb.

A handmade journal is standing upright on a dark wooden table. The bookcloth is a metallic red color, and glued and centered on the front cover is a wood veneer card with an illustration of a moth surrounded by spooky motifs (a spider, snakes, a moon, bats, and plants). The book has a blue ribbon bookmark hanging from the top edge of the book. Attached to the end of the bookmark ribbon is a silver colored metal charm in the shape of a bird skull. In the background around the book is a small glass cloche containing dried flowers, a candle in a bronze colored tin, and a small corked glass vial with black feathers inside. The vial is labeled “Raven feathers”.

The photo is zoomed in on front cover of the red journal to show the details of the wood veneer illustration of the moth surrounded by flowers, bats, snakes, and a moon. The silver bird skull at the end of the blue ribbon bookmark is also visible, hanging from the top edge of the book.

The red journal is open to show the front end paper of the book. The end paper is a handmade paper designed to look old, stained, and weathered.

The photo is zoomed in on the edge of the book and the hand sewn endband, which is made with red and blue silk, sewn to create a stripe pattern of the two colors.

Een grote, complexe houtskooltekening welke suggereert nog niet af te zijn. Maar dat lijkt gewild. Wat zie je? Een soort kandelaar, planten, een landschap... Eine große, komplexe Holzkohlezeichnung welche anmutet wie wenn sie noch nicht fertig ist. Aber das scheint so gewollt zu sein. Was sieht man? Eine Art Kerzenständer, Pflanzen, eine Landschaft...

Deze lamp is van papier en er is met heel veel houtskool hierop getekend. Gefotografeerd vanuit het kikker perspectief. Hangend vanaf het plafond en onderdeel van de grote installatie met tekeningen welke ik hier gepost heb.

Dies Lampe ist von Papier und ganz und gar bezeichnet ( wenn ich das so sagen darf ) mit Holzkohle. Aus der Froschperspektive fotografiert. Von der Decke hängend und gehörend bei der großen Installation mit Zeichnungen welche ich hiervor gepostet habe

Een grote, ronde, kartonnen object. In het midden is er een opening. Het bestaat uit elementen welke waagerecht en senkrecht in elkaar gezet zijn. Mijn schaduw, welke tijdens het fotograferen ontstond vond ik wel grappig ;-)

Ein großes, rundes Objekt von Karton. In der Mitte ist eine Öffnung. Es besteht aus waagerechten und senkrechten Elementen welche ineinander gesteckt sind. Meinen Schatten, welcher während des fotografierens entstand, finde ich eigentlich ganz lustig ;-)

An experiment for the OpenPress Project + Haus des Papers Rising Print exhibition: an embossed off-center Celtic spiral. I did this using a plate of glued-up laser-cut MDF pieces on a heavyweight Arches paper using the OpenPressProject’s Postcard Printing Press.

An off-center counter-clockwise tapering spiral surrounded by twelve small circles is embossed on a small (70mm) square of toothy paper. It sits on a background of crinkled blue paper (momigami).

So, she is doing custom pet ornaments for the holidays. They look VERY cool!

I had to take a photo as this is too big for my scanner at 17.25” x 23”, or 44cm x 59cm. This is all paper, or washi tape on paper, cut into shapes. Or torn, in the case of the background. Washi tape and various papers. I made most of this in July but ran out of the red paper for the leaves and had to wait until I could get more - I ordered right away but it took a while to get here. So excited to finish this. #paperart #mastoart
