Shedding a Layer
In the midst of a heatwave here in the UK and I'm melting...
Pareidolia is the tendency to perceive meaningful patterns, often faces, in random or ambiguous visual or auditory stimuli. It's a common psychological phenomenon where the brain interprets something that isn't really there as having a familiar pattern or meaning.
If you take a look at this fella, he was known locally as a really bad guy - at the time.
Most people recognize him from the the first picture. However, they don't realize that if you see him from the side in that same pose (picture 2) it is exactly what Ben spent a hell of a long time projecting up on the mountainside. Amazing work!
