Мы забыли вовремя создать партиции, и все новые данные полетели в events_default_partition . Default дорос до ~1.1 ТБ, а простое «ATTACH PARTITION» требовало часов сканирования и долгой блокировки. Could #partitioning tools please stop trying to align everything to 1MB? This hard drive's sector size is 4096 bytes, not 1048576 bytes.

If I did things their way, over 8 million bits' worth of disk surface would be forever unused for no discernible reason.

(It would be useful if I was planning to do legacy BIOS booting off this drive, and therefore needed to reserve space for the boot loader, but I'm not.)
