PCB order from JLCPCB is done \o/ now i can start search for the parts and reorder missing stuff.
Around 38 Euros with shipping and custom duties/tax.
Instead of tackling markdown generation i tackled the 3d file generation. Just the board, but i can live with that. I used many years altium with his very nice 3d integration, but this is enought to design cases :-)
Small rant... while Eagle runs some commands blocking, some others are non blocking and if i want to do thinks in schematic and the board shit hits the fan. Until now i can't find a logic.
My only solution right now is generating a scr for every schematic plus the board and call eagle len(scrs) times.
The generationen runs now in subprocesses and getting 9 projects done lasts 9s with overall 90 eagle CAM jobs calls and 9 eagle calls to generate the board Images.
Totally utilizing my AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8840U.
I automated the shit out of eagle 6. Should also work in version 5 to 9, but i don't want to test it (now) . The complete Gerber and Image generation process ist automated for alle projects in a repo. Here have a look: https://gitlab.com/debauer/van_electronics
If i'm out of the concept phase i could build a python module out of it.
I hate doing the same shit multiple times.
Now i tackle markdown generation for even nicer repos :-)

by the way, part of the reason I project blog about stuff I barely know about is to help demystify it a little. I'm not an electrical/computer engineer but I've made two simple PCBs now and I just kind of want to show "hey if I can do it, you probably can too" and help show that the tech to do this is cheap and easily accessible.
does anyone on here have experience with KiCad and can help a newbie like me understand, when making a schematic, how to pick an appropriate surface-mount resistor that e.g. jlcpcb might have available for their smt assembly service? I know the approximate r value I want but not size or brand and have no experience here and there's so many possible options.

#PCB etching with vinegar is HARD. I realised the lack of HCl late night and my only option was vinegar. I am not sure if I understand the chemistry behind. It does react but unstable most of time and before copper etch away my mask dissolves ruining the process. I am practically cooking copper all night but no use.
I will try tomorrow with proper acid! Wasted my night...

This wasn't there yesterday but I love the new #JLCPCB panel options. The column/row spacing is going to be especially handy as previously I'd request it in the notes which they didn't always spot first time delaying it with reviews (the micro USB connectors I use overhang the PCB so need spaces to sit flat).
