In light of #pebble becoming completely open source, I reaalllly hope that the app ends up on #fdroid

Today, my watch didn't let me enter the menu anymore. It reacted to calls and the start of the charging process. But it wouldn't go back to the home screen. I've powercycled it twice but that doesn't resolve the issue. It's connected to my phone, showing the pebble OS logo.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

When Google made #PebbleOS open source, Eric Migicovsky, the founder of #Pebble, said he would release compatible watches. But, from what I understand, older models will also work with the “new” OS. So, it appears that I have yet another project to have fun with.

I started it as part of the 2nd @rebble.io Hackathon, and I’ll share some updates of what’s been going on so far as part of this thread so that I can look back at it if I want, and people can follow along if they want

I've been going through the old Pebble store to see what apps they have. It's sad that many have not had updates in 10 years, and many of the websites associated with the app have disappeared.

I hope the rebirth of the Pebble (or RePebble) makes people want to get back into their app from back then. Otherwise, the watches will be fairly pointless.
