On another social media platform, I came across a great idea. In one post, they suggested buying a bag of pet food for your local shelter. I'm going to suggest another idea... buy things like underwear or socks, or toothpaste for your local homeless shelter. Cloe was my first encounter at the shelter and this was my first photo from there. There's a special shed for cats with FIV before the front gate that I approached and got into a conversation with the lady that takes care of them all. My dearest had just died 3 days before and I was totally devastated.
Half a year has passed and now is the time to choose a new companion. I picked Cloe. She is there for 1,5 years already.

Spent another afternoon helping at the shelter yesterday. This little guy is new and he was very grateful for company and cuddles. I benefit so much from these 2-3 hours helping the cats there. I would so much like to take one home, but the grief over losing my little girl 6 weeks ago seems still too strong.
